Where did the numbers 2108 in the company name come from?
In June of 1996, Wayne M. White and his wife Julie Padberg-White moved to St Louis. Wayne began working as a Freelance Graphic Designer as "Wayne M. White Design". In October 1998, Wayne and Julie purchased a 6000 sq. ft. historic Second Empire home located in Historic Lafayette Square at 2108 Lafayette Ave that needed to be renovated. With Julie's Architecture degree - Wayne and Julie rehabbed the house and continue to work on it.
Since then Wayne and Julie have been featured in the following: in a "My Dreams video - mydream.tv - Quick Time Video Player required " feature sponsored by Lincoln and Amazon.com - 11/06. As seen in "The American Townhouse" book Kevin D. Murphy - 12/2006, Restore America - HGTV - 2002 all because of the house website showing the progress of the rehab.
In 1999, Wayne expanded his Freelance graphic design business and started a graphic design, web design and web hosting company by the name of Studio 2108 while working out of his house located at 2108 Lafayette Ave. After being in business as Studio 2108 since 1999 and achieving such high search engine rankings with the domain name studio2108.com he figures he better keep it even after the moving the office out of the house - see the office space.
